I know its a while before I set off, but I need to plan ahead when taking on a journey of this magnitude.
I’m not sure what to expect from the Blas 2011 Festival, but from the website it looks a well organised annual event, and what drew me to it was that it is held across the whole of the Highlands. This in itself is a wonderful opportunity to explore this rugged and beautify part of Scotland, and enjoy the music at the same time.
Now, I know I’m going to regret this - but I need you to tell me where to go . . . .

Fort William
Aviemore
Isle of Sky
Strathpeffer
Inverness
North Queensferry
There is a lot too see in the central Highlands, and I have pencilled in several popular tourist sites, but if you have any personal experience of a visit worth recommending, please let me know. . . the countdown has begun
